In Which Hitty Goes to Cowboy Church and a Barrel Race

Today, my adopted humans and I joined other early morning worshipers for Cowboy Church at the C Bar C Expo Center Located in Cloverdale Indiana.

Come as you are.  Dogs are welcome too

A very talented young cowboy led the congregation in worship including an original song he wrote recently.   We received a copy of The Way for Cowboys, an NIV edition of the New Testament.

Pastor Jon Hemmer took his text from Luke 8:22 and spoke on overcoming fear.  According to Google, there are 365 scriptures in the Bible that say “do not fear” or encourage us to “be not afraid”.  That’s one inspiring scripture for every day of the year.

The Barrels & Bling Chalee Gilliland Memorial Barrel Race is a very special event held on the first weekend in July.  Chalee Gilliland was an 11-year old avid barrel racer who had Cystic Fibrosis. Her family and friends host a barrel race and silent auction in her memory. All proceeds benefit a Hoosier with Cystic Fibrosis.

Please visit the Chalee Gilliland Foundation website at for more information.
